Carol S. Ross

Carol S. Ross, 80, of Zanesville, passed away on Weds, May 17, 2023 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  She was born on Oct 15, 1942 in Malta, Ohio to the late Ivan and Norma Matheney Dozer.  She was a hair dresser in her early years and then retired in 2012 after 25 years at Kmart in South Zanesville.  She was a member of the Freedom City Church in Zanesville and loved spending time with her family and all of the grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Ross of the home, a son, Joel (Rose) Ross of Mt. Vernon, a daughter, Gayla (Brad) Evans of McConnelsville, brother, Bruce Dozer of Malta, Sister, Joan Porter of Mansfield, 3 grandchildren, Cody (laura), Olivia and Jackson, 2 great grandchildren, Cooper and Conner, several nieces, nephews and other family members.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Maynard and a sister Carma.  A private family service is taking place at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville at her request.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
