Carolyn S. Motz

Carolyn S. Motz, 81, of McConnelsville, passed away on Fri, April 9, 2021 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  She was born on May 8, 1939 in Zanesville to the late Robert and Ethel Sleek Adams.  She worked as a cook for the Morgan County Schools System and was a member of the Stockport United Methodist church.  Carolyn was known for her smile, laugh, her loving heart and her love of her family.  She also loved to sew and go shopping.  She is survived by her husband Hugh Motz of the home, a son, Mike (Donna) Motz of Hackney, a daughter, Tammy (David) Morrow of McConnelsville, a brother, JD Adams of Stockport, a sister, Sandy Groves of South Zanesville, 11 grandchildren, Nikki Marshall, Shaunda Fox, Crissy Voytko, Chris Motz, Connie Bush, Valerie Belin, Danielle Harlow, Lacey Wickham, Lauren Lindimore and Luke and Levi Morrow, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Debbie Hutchinson and Peggy Harlow, a brother Dick Adams and 2 sisters, Phyllis Lauer and Bobbie Joselyn.  Services will be held on Tues, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the McKendree United Methodist Church near McConnelsville.  Burial will follow in the Stockport Cemetery.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Morgan County 4-H Fashion Board (C/O Pam Montgomery at the Morgan County Ext.
