Daniel R. Zumbro, 73, of Stockport, passed away on Weds, Sept. 29, 2021 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born on Sept. 7, 1948 in Dale, Ohio to the late Clair and Lenice Bachelor Zumbro. He was a welder and an inventor who held numerous Patens and owned numerous Companies’. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and attended the Oakland United Methodist Church in Stockport. Dan was a proud organ donor and donated to help save others in need. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane McCoy Zumbro of the home, 2 sons, Scott (Kelly) Zumbro of Zanesville and Matt (Shannon) Zumbro of McConnelsville, 2 sisters, Linda (Jake) Reinstetle of Zanesville and Dee Harrison of McConnelsville and 5 grandchildren, Karlie, Zach, Kaitlyn, Kenzie and Chloe Zumbro. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Mark, Roger “Spank” and Tim Zumbro and a sister, Ellie Lawrence. This man may not be familiar to many of you but, he was a very good friend to everyone… and he just recently, unexpectedly passed… if you have ever hunted in a hang on tree stand called a lock-on ….thank this man …if you have ever shot a split limb bow…thank this man …I’ve learned so many life lessons from Dan Zumbro …he told me that people will forget what you told them …they will forget what you did for them …but they will never forget how you made them feel …and I will never forget how Dan Zumbro made me feel …rest in peace my good friend.
