Ella Maxine Scott

Ella Maxine Scott, 92, of Chesterhill, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on May 10, 1927 in Chesterhill to the late George and Irma Michener Newton.  She worked as an Income Maintenance Aid at the Morgan County Dept. of Human Services and was member of the Chesterhill Nazarene Church.  She is survived by 3 sons, Lex Wogan of Thornville, Dan Wogan of Springhill, Fl and John Wogan of Chesterhill, a daughter, Patricia Dole of Phoenix, Or, a sister, Ilo Armstrong of Chesterhill, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Zane Wogan, 2nd husband, Virgil Scott, a son Zane Jr. and 4 brothers, Clarence, Richard, Dow and Howard Newton.  A service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.  Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery.   The family will gather 1 hour prior to the services.  If you are sick or have been sick or think you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus we ask you to please not attend the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
