Erma Jean Baker, 86, of Pennsville, passed away on Sun, March 24, 2024 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. She was born on Sept. 2, 1937 in Chesterhill to the late Willaim and Mary Mae Ramsey Bennett. She retired after 33 years from Malta Manufacturing. She was a member of the Pennsville Church of Christ, CCL Mothers Club and attended the Malta Bible Church. She is survived by a special friend, Cecil Jordan of the home, a son, Fred (Diana) Baker of Pennsville, a daughter, Loretta (John) Davis of Pennsville, 4 sisters, Georgia Watson of Dayton, Adalene Thornburg of Newark, Shirley Miller of Letart, W.Va. and Betty (David) Jarvis of Stockport, a brother, Gary (Sandy) Bennett of Corning, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Baker, granddaughter, Tricia Ashton, 3 brothers, Keith, Bob and Harold Bennett and 3 sisters, Naomi Barnett, Leona Noland and Slenia Wilson. Services will be held on Thurs, March 28, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Pennsville Cemetery.
