George A. Roe, 75, of McConnelsville, passed away on Weds, Jan. 7, 2026 at his residence.  He was born on Oct. 2, 1950 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Paul and Francis Strauss Roe.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked as an IBEW Electrician, retiring from New River Electrical.  He is survived by 3 daughters, Joy Sturgill of Parkersburg, Diana Sinclair of Bellefontaine and Debbie Grodhaus of Stockport, a sister, Mary Lou Anderson of New Holland, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Paula Birch Roe, a brother, Kenny Roe and a sister, Linda Palmer.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
