James B. “Jimmy” Brannon, 53, of Malta, passed away on Tues, Aug. 10, 2021 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on Nov. 28, 1967 in Zanesville to James and Patricia Greuey Brannon. He retired from the AEP Muskingum River Power Plant in Beverly. He was a member of the Malta Bible Church in Malta and the Valley # 145 Masonic Lodge in Malta. He loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and be around his family. He is survived by his father James Brannon of Malta, his wife, Kim Smallwood Brannon of Malta, a son Koen Brannon of Malta, 2 daughters, Kacy (Derek) Rush of McConnelsville and Katlin (Josh) Mayle of Malta, 3 sisters, Kelly (Bobby) Hardman of Venice, Fl, Vickey (Terry) Sayatovich of McConnelsville and Beth (Brian) Smith of Malta and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Pat Brannon. The family and close friends will gather from 2-3 P.M. on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 at the Malta Bible Church in Malta. Followed by a funeral service at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery in Portersville. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
