John "Jock" Mayle

John H. “Jock” Mayle, 76, of Chesterhill passed away on Thurs, July 6, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on Dec. 10, 1946 in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Lute and Erma Crippen Mayle.  He was a construction worker out of Union Local #423 in Columbus.  He is survived by 3 sons, Nelson Mayle of Sharpsburg, Brian Mayle of Chesterhill and John Mayle of Chesterhill, 3 daughters, Teresa Mayle of Parkersburg, Lisa Mayle of Chesterhill and Julie Stevens of McConnelsville, a brother, Jim Bill Mayle of Chesterhill and 3 sisters, Shirley Carnes of Chesterhill, Karen Robinson of Veto and Sharon Evans of Pennsylvania, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, son William Mayle and several brothers and sisters.  Services will be held on Tues, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt Hermon Church with burial following in the Mt Hermon Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family on Mon, July 10, 2023 from 5-7 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
