Misty D. Rupe

Misty Rupe, 46 of McConnelsville, Oh passed away Sat Feb 18th 2023. Misty was born September 1, 1976 in Steubenville Oh and was raised in Weirton West Virginia by her father Brian Huey and her grandparents.  Misty is survived by her husband, Clint & daughter, Delilah of McConnelsville, and son Lance Huey of Cleveland.  She is also survived by her 2 special sisters and their sons, Holly and son Kadyn Shepherd of Zanesville and Deidra (Sam) Savage and son Mason of Malta and son Sam of Cleveland.  Misty graduated from Weir High School in 1994 and went on to graduate from Jefferson Community College with multiple honors in 2004. She was a breast cancer survivor. Sadly, like many others, her cancer reoccurred and she lost her battle a year and a half later.  Misty and her husband Clint met while working at Walmart in Zanesville, but after they were married and Misty had their daughter, she flourished as a stay at home mother.   Misty was very proud of raising her kids in the small community of MoCo where Clint is a supervisor at Miba.  She enjoyed being a stay at home mom and running her kids to school as well as all of their special events, band, cheer, dance, gymnastics and track.  Misty was a very special loving person. She loved her animals, especially her Emma.  She loved to laugh! She and her husband enjoyed attending music concerts, camping and she liked to help him track deer when he was hunting. She loved to shop and clean and to just be home.   She is going to be missed by so many.  She fought very hard and rarely complained.  She was proceeded in death by her grandparents Pauline and Harry Huey. The family would like to thank Genesis Hospital and Morrison House.  A memorial service will be held at the Matheney Funeral Home, McConnelsville on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5-7.
