Obituary

Phillip A. Schott, 56, of Beverly, passed away on Weds, March 15, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on April 18, 1966 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Edward and Marilyn Strauss Schott.  He worked as a spot welder at Thermo-Fisher Scientific in Marietta.  He was a Catholic by faith and enjoyed watching the Pittsburg Steelers, NHRA Drag Racing and NASCAR.  He is survived by his son, Ayden Schott of Portersville, Pa, 3 brothers, Brian (Carol) Schott of Marietta, Mitch (Loraine) Schott of Waterford and Joe (Laura) Schott of Waterford, a sister, Denise (Bill) Sutton of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held on Sat. March 18, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  Friends may call on the family from 10-12 on the day of the services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Beverly.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
