Raymond Max Niceswanger

Raymond Max Niceswanger, 85, of McConnelsville, passed away on Thurs, Nov. 24, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on Aug. 3, 1937 in Malta, Ohio to the late Robert and Elta Guy Niceswanger.  He retired from the Central Ohio Coal Company after 16 years.  He was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church and the Emmaus Community.  He loved watching the Buckeyes and will be watching from heaven as they beat the team up north on Saturday.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna Palmer Niceswanger of the home, 3 daughters, Debra (Jim) Noland of Malta, Becky (Don) West of Dresden and Mary Niceswanger of McConnelsville, a brother, Roger Niceswanger of Florida, a sister, Delores Heffner of New Albany, 2 grandchildren, Brandi and Sheri, 5 great grandchildren, Kristin, Kaitlyn, Caden, Kylie and Abby, a great great granddaughter, Sophie and several nieces and nephews.  He will be rejoicing in heaven with his parents, 2 brothers, Richard and Grant Niceswanger, a sister, Sylvia Coler and his sweet little great granddaughter Madison.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville will be handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
