Ronald I. Travis, 78, of Stockport, went to be with the Lord on Sun, Dec. 5, 2021, in the comfort of his home, after living a full life dedicated to his family. He was born March 21, 1943 in Windsor Township to the late Clarence Travis and Belva Gheen Travis White. He was employed by Taylor Woodcraft in Malta for 18 years prior to becoming the owner operator of Travis Fuel Company and the EZ-Stop Convenience Store and Gas Station in Stockport. He was an active member of the Mt. Olivet Church near Stockport. He enjoyed being a father and grandfather, visiting with friends, Farming, antique tractors and old cars. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Kay Shuster Travis of the home, a daughter, Debbie (Jack) Wallace of Stockport, a son, Randy (Tammy) Travis of Stockport, a sister Sharon Peck of Columbus, 4 grandchildren, Payden and Mason Wallace, Reid and Rhett Travis. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Russell and Richard Travis, sister-in-law, Cindy Travis, a brother-in-law, Jack Peck. A celebration of life service will be held on Sat, Dec. 11, 2021 from 10-12 Noon with a memorial service following at 12 Noon at the Mt. Olivet Church on Point Lookout Road in Stockport. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Olivet Church.
